b. 12 Dec 1896, Smethwick 2nd Lieut., Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers then Royal Flying Corps in WWI RAeC Certificate No 1437 on 13 Jul 1915 (Maurice Farman Biplane, at Military School, Farnborough) His son Pilot Officer R. E. H. "Dickie" Medhurst was killed on September 19, 1944 when the Douglas Dakota Mk.
